KRISTY BIBER
SOPRANO
Kristy studied voice at Melbourne University and sang with the Choir of Trinity College Melbourne for six years. During this time she toured with them to Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, U.S.A, Germany, and England, and recorded five albums for ABC Classics.
Kristy is a founding member of vocal groups The Consort of Melbourne and Polyphonic Voices, and has collaborated with artists such as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, The Rolling Stones, film composer A.R. Rahman, Hilltop Hoods, Spiritualized, Patti LuPone, and Deborah Cheetham, and performed at events such as the NGV Triennial EXTRA festival and the NGV Gala. She has had the privilege of working with choral conductors including Eric Whitacre, Stephen Layton, and Peter Phillips. In 2019 Kristy toured Sweden with new vocal group, the Melbourne Octet.



POLYPHONIC VOICES
Kristy helped create Polyphonic Voices in 2014. PV presents a wide variety of music from the classical choral tradition, but also arrangements from jazz, pop, folk, and other alternative genres. Collaborations have included Hilltop Hoods, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Patti LuPone, and various local ensembles, freelance musicians, and visual artists.
THE CONSORT OF MELBOURNE
Kristy is a founding member of the Consort of Melbourne. CoM comprises eight of Melbourne's finest chamber singers under the artistic direction of Steven Hodgson. Typically performing a capella (unaccompanied) with one singer per part, CoM champions both historic and contemporary repertoire, bringing 1000 years of vocal music to life with an intimacy and verve that leaves audiences spellbound.
